Wrestling club opens season at Columbia Central

The Manchester Wrestling Club began its season with the Columbia Central meet March 16 and 17.

Taking first place March 16 were Ryan Abrigo, Austin Cole, Thomas Conway, Eric Coval, Mike Lobbestael, Nathan Fischer and Iian Neff. Placing third were Jacob Chrisman and James Kreklau.
Nine Manchester wrestlers placed first on Saturday. Brendan Abrigo, Blake Belaire, Hunter Carson, Miquel Grammatico, Jordan Heuser, Nick Jackson, Iian Neff, Avery Osentsoki and Brock Vlcek each earned first place for Manchester.
Capturing second were John Beuerle, Josh Bunn, William Doan, Nathan Fischer, Jordan Good, Corey Johnson, Jimmy Kurasz, Scott Lobbestael, Austin Martin, Christian Minard, Gus Rickelmann, Ashton Tracy, Grant Tungate and Devin Whitt.
Earning third-place finishes Saturday were Cody Bulifant, Garrett Carson, Matt Collum, Chad Fusilier, Derek Guenther, Christian Sukis, Dalton Tungate and Travis Withrow.
The Manchester Wrestling Club has participants ranging from ages 4 through 15. Several wrestlers also compete on the middle school and high school varsity wrestling teams.
