LUELLA DYER
Chelsea
Luella Dyer, 85, of Chelsea died unexpectedly March 9, 2007, in her home. She was born April 18, 1921, in Manchester the daughter of William and Ida (Schneider) Steinaway.
Mrs. Dyer had attended Bethlehem United Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school, and was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
She was a wonderful stay-at-home mom, and her cinnamon rolls will be missed, her family said.
Mrs. Dyer married James Dyer, who preceded her in death in August 1995.
Survivors include her children, Tom (Linda) Dyer of Manchester, Richard (Jan) Dyer of Virginia, Kenneth (Kathy) Dyer of Arizona and Pam (Mike) Dyer-Marion of Manchester; 10 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Helen Walz, Lucille Arnet and Arlene LeBeau; and two brothers, Waldo Steinaway and Paul Steinaway.
A funeral was held Tuesday at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Chelsea. The Rev. Doris Case officiated. Burial was at Bethlehem Cemetery in Ann Arbor.
The family received friends at Cole Funeral Chapel in Chelsea.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Episcopal Church.
